Both the rugged challenge of a winter trip to Śnieżnik and the early-spring thaw have their loyal returning fans. From December to February, snow can thoroughly cover the trails, and the white blanket often remains here until May. A winter ascent requires caution, but rewards the effort with rugged landscapes. If you prefer skiing, our complex is just a dozen or so minutes by car from the Czarna Góra ski resort. In April, the trails can be wet and muddy, but it is an excellent time to see Wilczki Waterfall, which carries the most water after the snow melts. The average ascent time from Międzygórze is around three hours. To avoid the busiest period on the trails, we recommend setting out early in the morning, which also guarantees excellent light for photos. Another good option is late afternoon—at around 16:00, most tourists are already returning to the valleys. For summer afternoons, we have also prepared our hotel’s bike rental service. It is a great way to enjoy active leisure in the Kłodzko Valley if you would like a break from walking.
When autumn arrives, Śnieżnik dresses in spectacular colours. Regular visitors agree that the turn of September and October offers the best weather compromise of the year. Stable weather, the golden Polish autumn and outstanding visibility from the observation tower make up for the cooler winds. Just remember to keep a headlamp in your backpack, as darkness falls without warning in autumn.
